AWANA Club Celebrates First Responders

by ECT

The Golden Hills Community Church hosted their annual LifeSaver Appreciation Day. This event has been ongoing for the past 10years. Police, Fire & EMS are presented with a certificate of appreciation by the members of The AWANA Club. The children also have the opportunity to interact with our crews, ask questions and tour the back of the ambulance.

AWANA is an international bible centered children’s ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training. Today more than 11,000 US churches run AWANA. There are clubs in all 50 states. AWANA can also be found in 3,300 churches in 109 other countries and six continents.

The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. This year there were close to 300 children participating at this great community event.

AMR paramedics run over 65k calls annually and we feel very proud to have such an outstanding team of professionals.
