Updated: 5 Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Hit Nets Stolen Merchandise and Drugs in Brentwood

At around 11:30 am Monday, the Brentwood Police Department responded to the Streets of Brentwood after they got a hit on their License Plate Reader system of a stolen vehicle.

Police were able to locate the vehicle where they took 5 subjects into custody. It was reported by police that all five occupants were out of the City of Stockton which included three females and two males.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle, located stolen merchandise out of Victoria’s Secret along with various drugs.

According to the victims that had their vehicle stolen, the subjects had put nearly 1,000 miles on the vehicle before it was recovered by Brentwood Police.

No other information was available as police are investigating the incident along with possible other connected incidents. Police had not yet determined if the stolen merchandise was a misdemeanor or a felony as they had not added up the cost of the items.

  1. Streets is becoming quite the criminal hotbed. Seems like everyday there’s some criminal action over there. Its location, right off of Highway 4, seems to be very enticing to lowlife knuckleheads. Brentwood PD might as well have a sub station there. Might even need assistance from the sheriff

  2. Is it any wonder why businesses don’t stick around? When you take losses like this- constantly- from thieves it hurts your bottom line and eventually it’s just not worth it to have a brick and mortar store in locations like Sommersville, etc.. Streets appears to be the current target since that’s where all the “nice” shops currently are. They come in from Stockton, Hayward; all to Brentwood to thieve and rob. Grand opening? Soon it’ll be a grand closing.

    And THIS is why we can’t have nice things.
