On Thursday, the Concord Police Department reported the victim in the Sunvalley Mall shooting in the City of concord on December 31 has died.
The shooting occurred during a robbery attempt where he was treated and transported to a local hospital for care. Police say the male died Wednesday. Police said a suspect has been arrested, but was not identified pending investigation.
On Dec. 31, 2021, police responded at 3:44 pm when two gunmen opened fire on the JC Penney side of the mall. The suspect vehicle was reported out of the City of Antioch, however, police have not issued any further information on the suspects.
