Thursday: Contra Costa Television to Broadcast Live Local Election Previews

by ECT

Martinez, CA – Contra Costa County voters can watch live Local “Election Previews” on Thursday, January 16, 2020. This programming offers Contra Costa voters a chance to be informed on candidates and issues before casting their ballots. Bob Butler, KCBS reporter, will moderate the discussions.

Three forums will be featured on January 16:

  • Measure J at 5 pm
  • State Assembly District 14 at 6 pm
  • County Supervisorial District 5 at 7 pm

The live broadcasts will air on Contra Costa Television (CCTV), Comcast Channel 27, Astound Channel 32, and AT&T U-verse Channel 99. They will also live stream on the County website at www.contracosta.ca.gov. Contra Costa County Elections Division partners with the County’s Office of Communications & Media and Contra Costa Television (CCTV), the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley, and the League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa.

“The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors authorized Contra Costa Television 25 years ago with the purpose of informing and engaging residents,” said Board Chair, Supervisor Candace Andersen. “Election Previews offer an important, non-partisan discussion for our local elections.”

“We have been airing voter education programs since 1996,” said Susan Shiu, Director of the County’s Office of Communications and Media, which oversees CCTV. “Now through television and social media channels, voters can have more access to information ahead of the March 3rd election.”

Additional Election Preview forums will be broadcasted on CCTV and the Contra Costa Television YouTube Channel beginning Wednesday, January 22, 2020 through Election Day. KTVU’s Claudine Wong will serve as moderator. The programs will include races from State Assembly Districts 15 and 16, State Senate District 7, and County Supervisorial District 3.

More information about “Election Preview” is available on the Elections Division website at www.cocovote.us/Election-Preview and the County’s website at www.contracosta.ca.gov/7097.

That “Federal” guy should not be running again. He’s way overstayed his welcome. He does NOTHING but collects taxpayer money!

I thought he died a few years ago! Nothing was heard from him. Did he resurrect? Either way, he’s totally useless.

He might as well be dead. He doesn’t do anything but collects his paycheck. It’s high time he looked for another line of work. We need bright, informed people to be on the Board of Supervisors. not old retreads.

There is no way on God’s Green Earth I would ever vote for Glover! Never did and never will. Not on your life!
