Stockton Police Searching for Man Who Left Child Alone in Motel Room

On December 12, 2016, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of N Center Street to assist code enforcement with checking the property.

When they entered the location they discovered a 5 year old child that had been left alone in the motel room. Also in the room was a large amount of heroin and methamphetamine, a loaded Tech 9, and a large amount of money. The mother of the child was contacted and took custody of the child. She had left the child in the care of his father who stays at the location.

Wanted is the child’s father: Donald Rucker, black male/41, for child endangerment, weapon and narcotic charges.

The Stockton Police Department is encouraging citizens to call if they have information pertaining to this suspect’s whereabouts. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-7911 or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

Citizens may also text information from their cell phones to ‘Crimes’ (274637) and type the keyword TIPSPD and then their tip or logon to the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page and click ‘Submit A Tip’. Tipsters may also send tips on the Stockton PD Mobile Phone App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
