Spare the Air Extended Through Monday

by ECT

It is illegal for Bay Area residents and businesses to burn wood or manufactured firelogs in fireplaces, woodstoves and inserts, pellet stoves, outdoor fire pits, or any other wood burning devices. A Spare the Air Alert is in effect through Monday, Sept. 14, 2020.

Wildfire smoke is currently impacting air quality throughout the Bay Area. Concentrations of particulate matter pollution are forecast to be unhealthy. High levels of particulate matter pollution are harmful to breathe, especially for young children, seniors and those with respiratory and heart conditions. Protect your health by staying indoors and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.

This AirAlert is provided by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Thank you for doing your part to Spare the Air!

Do not reply directly to this email. If you want more information on the air quality forecast, or other aspects of the local air quality program, please contact your local air quality agency using the information above.

Newsom has failed us. He should have began major forestry management right as he was blaming PG&E last year. He dropped the ball and has blood on his hands this year. Get your act together Newsom and straighten out the states forests instead of blaming others.

No, no, no JG; this IS climate change and the only way to stop these fires is by paying more taxes.

Oh, Patty I’m sorry I missed the climate change part. My bad. So there will be no fires when there are no cars, planes, trains, cows farting, and no cheese. Got it. Thanks. I still don’t understand why it’s only California that has the climate/fire problem. They have hamburgers in all the other states.
