Smith Family Farms Hosts Tomato Day, Plus Other Fall Fun

On Saturday, Smith Family Farms hosts Tomato Day. This is their fall season kick-off with a celebration of the taste of summer with food, music mixed in with arts, crafts and more.

FOOD: From 11am-3pm, we’ll have FREE samples of tomato-based dishes made by renowned chefs Heidi Krehling (Insalata’s) and Todd Kniess (Acme Burger) and others. There will also be a tasting of all of our heirloom varieties currently in season.
MUSIC: SFF favorites JimBo Trout and Norman Collins Music will be alternating sets in the gazebo throughout the day.
ARTS, CRAFTS & MORE: Featured vendors include crafters and gourmet olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Amphora Nueva.
FALL FUN: It’s not a visit to the SFF Pumpkin Harvest without seeing our barnyard animal area, pumpkin house, herb garden, play areas, mini corn maze, and of course the pumpkin patch!

General admission is $13.50 and includes all activities and Tomato Day Samples. Babies under 2 years old enter for free. As always, each admission includes one pumpkin of any size from our field. Additional pumpkins can be purchased at our roadside stand. Wagons for carrying out pumpkins are welcome. Only cash and check payments accepted.

Heart of Oakley Festival

The City of Oakley is set to host their 10th Heart of Oakley Festival on Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Civic Center Plaza. Heart of Oakley Festival is an annual open air market that brings local makers, families, and community members together.

Three Nunn Farms Now Open

The folks at Three Nunn Farms have confirmed they are now open through October 31, weather permitting and they are back better than ever for the 2022 fall harvest. The farm features pumpkins, LOTS OF THEM, in their pumpkin patch with multiple varieties, a tractor ride and corn maze and much more.

This years BIG MAZE design features crops from each of their picking seasons: Cherries, Peaches, and Pumpkins! The Big Maze is 5 acres and access to it will be included, as always, with your purchase of a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch!

Field Trips to G&S Farms

For all teachers in the area, G&S Farms is offering a fun fall activity for your class, homeschool group or after school program? Bring ‘em to the patch! Field trips dates are being offered between Oct. 3-31st.
