Local Unions Endorse AnaMarie Avila Farias for Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors

Firefighters and Labor Come Out in Support of Avila Farias Citin Strong Commitment to Labor and Safety

Contra Costa County, CA – Firefighters Union Local 1230, SEIU 1021, IFPTE Local 21, The Contra Costa AFL-CIO Labor Council, AFSCME 2700, and AFSCME 57 have all endorsed Martinez City Councilmember AnaMarie Avila Farias for Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors District 5.

These are a few of a long list of recent endorsements for Avila Farias whose other current endorsements include Contra Costa County Assessor Gus Kramer, Antioch City Councilmember Tony Tiscareno and the East Bay Women’s Political Caucus.

A third generation Martinez resident, Councilmember Avila Farias has served on the Martinez City Council for four years and is currently the Vice-Mayor. She has 22 years of public service experience and is Governor Jerry Brown’s appointee to the Board of Directors of the California Housing Finance Agency.

The Contra Costa AFL-CIO Labor Council are 80,000 working families standing together for good jobs, healthy communities, educational opportunity, and a brighter future for people in all industries and kinds of work.

SEIU Local 1021 represents over 54,000 employees in local governments, non-profit agencies, health care programs and schools throughout Northern California.

Local 21 Professional & Technical Engineers (IFPTE/AFL-CIO) represents trained professional and technical employees dedicated to improving governmental services and operations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

AFSCME Local 2700 is made up of clerical, technical, and specialized employees. AFSCME Council 57 was established to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions through organizing, collective bargaining, and political action.

They represent workers in schools and community colleges, transit agencies, public works and services, clinics and hospitals, and water and wastewater facilities throughout Northern California and the Central Valley.

The United Professional Fire Fighters Union Local 1230 includes over 450 firefighters from the Moraga-Orinda Fire District, Rodeo Hercules Fire District, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, East Contra Costa County Fire District, the City of Pinole Fire Department, Kensington Fire District, and the City of El Cerrito Fire Department.

This woman is a sociopath and a liar. Martinez can’t wait to get rid of her. At one point they were going to recall her, but it’s cheaper to vote her out. Vote no Farias for Supervisor or the Martinez city council seat she’ll try to get when that fails. She doesn’t have a clue to what’s going on, bullies staff and will say whatever. She can’t even keep up with her own delusional lies. Even if you don’t like Federal, Farias is the Sarah Palin of Contra Costa County.
