Sheriffs Office Issues Attempted Murder Warrant For Man Who Drove at Three Deputies

by ECT

The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office announced Tuesday that they have issued an arrest warrant for Bryan Hill who attempted to flee the scene and drove at three deputies.

Detectives investigating a possible carjacking on Friday have determined it was not a carjacking and that the suspect and the driver of the silver Prius in question knew each other.

On Friday, Deputies were called to the Tara Hills area in West County to investigate a stolen vehicle. Deputies spotted Bryan Hill entering the vehicle. Hill led Deputies on a short pursuit and then fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up by the Office of the Sheriff, CHP and Pinole PD. Hill was spotted and seen forcing his way into a silver Prius as he pushed the driver to the passenger seat. As officers attempted to remove Hill from the car, Hill, now in the driver’s seat, accelerated the car backwards at three officers and a police K-9. Hill fled the scene. The vehicle was later recovered in Oakland.

It has been confirmed that the original driver and the vehicle are not connected to ride-hailing service Uber.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 43-year-old Bryan Hill, who has addresses in the Richmond and Sacramento areas. The charges on the warrant include three counts of attempted murder on a peace officer, stolen vehicle and felony evasion. Hill is also on probation.

Hill is 6′,3″, 280 pounds, with brown colored eyes and is bald. He also has tattoos of music symbols on his neck.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Hill is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff at (925) 646-2441 or their local law enforcement agency. For any tips, please email: [email protected] or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.
