Sheriff’s Office Asks for Assistance in Identifying Lafayette Bank Robber

On Monday at about 4 PM, Lafayette Police Officers were dispatched to a bank robbery on the 3400 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

Upon the arrival of officers, they found the suspect had already fled the bank. Officers found that no one within the bank had been injured and no weapon had been displayed during the robbery.

Officers learned the suspect entered the bank parking lot on foot.
The suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. After reaching the teller, the suspect passed a demand note. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.

Lafayette-Police-Bank-Robbery-March-2016Lafayette Officers, assisted by the Orinda and Moraga Police Departments conducted area checks of the local neighborhoods for the suspect. As a precaution, BART was asked to hold trains to allow officers to search them for the suspect. The suspect was not located and remains at-large. He is a suspect in other bank robberies in the Bay Area.

Suspect Description:
Male, White, 6 foot tall, Dark Glasses, Baseball cap with the “Monster” logo, closely shaved beard.
