San Pablo Man Arrested in Benicia Double Shooting, Marijuana Grow Uncovered

The Benicia Police Department announced that a San Pablo man has been arrested in connection to a double shooting that occurred Tuesday.

The shooting occurred at 10:20 pm Tuesday in the 1600 block of Bayview Circle where officers located a 25-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man with non-life threatening gunshot wounds at the scene. They were transported to area hospitals for their injuries.

On Thursday, with the collaboration between San Pablo Police Department and Solano County Regional SWAT Team, Benicia Police arrested Ernesto Ramon Alejandre, 21, of San Pablo.

Alejandre is the suspect in the double shooting of our residents Tuesday night. The victims sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds, and are expected to recover.

Law enforcement arrested Mr. Alejandre in the 1300 block of Road 20 in San Pablo for attempted murder, robbery and burglary for the case.

Mr. Alejandre was also in possession of a loaded .45 caliber handgun during the arrest.

Police also discovered a large grow inside the residence with dozens of marijuana plants. San Pablo Police Department is investigating the grow. Alejandre was booked into Contra Costa County Jail.
