Rep. DeSaulnier to Host Pair of Town Hall Meeting in Danville and Richmond

by ECT
Rep Mark DeSaulnier

Walnut Creek, CA – Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that he will host a pair of upcoming town hall meeting on August 5 and August 8.

On August 5,  the meeting will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church (159 Harbour Way S) in Richmond at 6:00 pm where he will give a firsthand account of what he witnessed at detention facilities during his two visits to the southern border and share the work he is doing in Congress to protect immigrant rights and ensure detainees are treated with the dignity they deserve.

He will be joined by a panel of experts who will discuss the Administration’s attacks on immigrant communities, including its changes to asylum law, fight to put a citizenship question in the Census, and recently launched raids. Additionally, legal resources and information about immigrant rights—regardless of immigration status—will be available in English and Spanish. A translator will also be on hand during the event.

On August 8, DeSaulnier will host a Town Hall at the Veterans Memorial Building (115 E Prospect Ave) in Danville at 6:30 pm. During the town hall, he will provide an update on conditions at the southern border, the work the House has been doing on behalf of the American people, and Congress’s oversight of the Trump Administration.

Ask him what he is doing for the people other than wasting money on nonsense.
