Sad you have not one concept of what goes into rescue and the true cost. There is NO profit. Aside of any “profit” people are not paid, any funds go to food and other while in their care. Research before commenting.

Wrong. They steal small animals to use as training bait. Prospective adopters are interviewed for a reason. There have been too many cases of cat and dog torture killings in the courts to just give away pets. That’s why people are trying to stop craigslist from listing free pets. It’s too dangerous to the pet.

What an ignoramus! You hope the puppy has a home now but that may not be the case. And you obviously have no idea what goes into the care and cost of a puppy or kitten before adoption. These rescue organizations are 501 c3 nonprofit agencies, and in order to be able to remain open to be able to rescue and get animals ready for adoption there are costs involved.

Having had a 501(c)3, the cost is INSANE! People also think rescues get a great discount on vetting and other (not much), cost of food, toys, ongoing medical while in care, transport and all volunteer. Aside of places that have a high heart worm rate (south) treatment for rescue alone for that is about $500.
