At 7:47 pm Sunday evening, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews responded to a vegetation fire along the train tracks off Solano Ave in Bay Point. Crews attacked the fire which burned a junk pile and railroad wood ties and switchties. Crews were on scene for roughly 75-minutes. The fire was likely started by fireworks.
I can’t imagine how hot it is for those firefighters on these 100 degree days.
Thanks for keeping the fires in check and working in such extreme conditions. Be safe out there.
