Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Arnold Industrial Way in Concord

On March 29, at approximately 6:58pm, Concord Police Officers were dispatched to an auto vs. pedestrian collision that occurred on westbound Arnold Industrial Way just east of Laura Alice Way.

A vehicle traveling west on Arnold Industrial Way struck an adult male, who was in the roadway outside of the crosswalk. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The male driver, a 71 year old Pacheco resident, remained on scene and cooperated with police. Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor.

A portion of roadway east of the intersection of Arnold Industrial Way and Laura Alice Way was closed for approximately 3 hours in order to conduct the collision investigation.

The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this time.
