On Sunday, a Google Cloud outage has impacted many websites and apps across the United States, as well as Gmail. The issue began around 1:00 pm pacific time.
The issue has impacted sites like YouTube, Gmail, Discord, Nest, Snapchat, and Apple. It is also not clear at this time what has caused the issue or when full services will be restored.
According to Google:
“We are experiencing high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA, affecting multiple service in Google Cloud, GSuite and YouTube,” the company said. “Users may see slow performance or intermittent errors. We believe we have identified the root cause of the congestion and expect to a return to normal service shortly.“
