On June 2 at around 5:51 pm, Antioch Police responded to a report of a motorcyclist who struck a fire hydrant on Lone Tree Way near Golf Course Road in the City of Antioch.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries after traveling around 40-yards in the air after shearing a fire hydrant while His motorcycle split in three separate pieces. He was transported to a local hospital.
A total of 3 Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Units responded to the scene along with AMR. One crew provided patient care, another worked on the fire hydrant while a third crew was called for possible trauma activation.
Police said based on preliminary information, speed appears to be a factor in the crash, however, it was still under investigation.
No further details were made available.

We should probably ban motorcycles… because they crash like this… that motorcycle could have killed him.
If he wants to do himself in, that’s his business. But he could have injured pedestrians as well as motorists. The idiot just HAD to speed! That area is known for speeders, by the way!
