This is a good call but I think there will still be problems. There is no shade for the graduates or the guests. The bleachers get really hot and with so many graduates the ceremony is really long.
Just a hint for those of you attending sit on the side of the field where the sun is to your back. It is still hot but not nearly as miserable. Bring frozen waters as they melt and bring cooling towels for your neck. Pay particular care for elderly, medically fragile and babies and make sure you are watching them. Make sure your graduates are taken care of too.
Congratulations Graduates!!
Wouldn’t the bleachers covered with solar panels been a better choice. I hope there is no heat stroke this year at grad. Be careful bring lots of water. Maybe the district can supply some water too. Congrats to the grads!
A.m. much smarter time
In 2013, Liberty Grads had Temp at 109
at 6:00. No Heat Stroke patients !
While Heritage and Freedom had Multiple
Problems at 9:00 in the morning….at 80
Degrees ???
