by ECT

San Diego/Los Angeles – The leading Republican candidate for Governor and Chairman of the Gas Tax Repeal effort, John Cox, begin filing more than 940,000 signatures collected needed to put the measure on the ballot.

To qualify, the measure needs 584,000 signatures needed from registered voters across the state.

“I’m proud to be a leader in this effort to get Jerry Brown’s gas tax increase repealed in November,” said Cox. “The people of California are speaking loudly, and they are tired of the California Democrat leadership and their out of control tax policies.”

In San Diego he was joined by gas tax repeal leaders Carl DeMaio and San Diego Republican Party Chairman Tony Krvaric.

John Cox is the Chairman of the Give Voters a Voice Gas Tax Repeal effort sponsoring the initiative. Cox is one of the top two candidates consistently leading in recent polls and was just endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and Newt Gingrich.

Editors Notes on the Gas Tax:

Last April, Governor Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 1 that will increase the gas tax by 12 cents and 20 cents for diesel. Vehicle registration fees also increase ranging from $25 to $175 depending on value of their vehicles. In total, the bill raises $5 billion per year aimed to fix California roads.

In total, the Bill aims to raise $52.4 billion over the next decade. The tax and fee increases began in November of 2017.

AAA reported Monday that the average cost of a gallon of gas hit $2.81, national gas price average has reached the highest price per gallon since November 2014. California is paying on average $3.61 per gallon — the highest year-on-year increase in the country.

Supports of the repeal say SB1  will cost drivers up to $800 more per year while supporters of SB 1 say it would save about $10 per month.

With the signatures being filed Monday, voters will have a say on the November Ballot.

Vote to repeal people or the state will freely jump your taxes regularly without a vote. They need to learn what they did was wrong and unconstitutional.

John Cox didn’t do squat.

Travis Allen started this and went to court fighting Becerra who used deceptive language on the ballot measure.

Give credit where it is due to Travis Allen.

Vote Travis Allen for California Governor

Wow if this isn’t a midleading article headline falsely in favor of John Cox I don’t know own what is! John Cox hopped on Travis Allen’s band wagon and is riding on his coat tails like a typical self serving politician!

TRAVIS ALLEN STARTED the repeal initiative way back last year and has fiercely seen it through!

TRAVIS ALLEN ?, not 7 time POLITICAL LOSER John Cox for NEW DESPERATELY NEEDED CA Governor leadership!
