At 12:44 pm Wednesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and CALFIRE were dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire at Vasco Road near Camino Diablo in Byron.
This was dispatched as a full vegetation fire response.
UPDATE
Battalion 5 located the fire and stated the fire was out after a water truck was on scene and knocked down the 1/8 acre fire. A CALFIRE and a ECCFPD unit were requested to continue with all other resources being cancelled.
