At 10:13 am Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of smoke coming from a roof in the 30 block of Crivello Ave off Willow Pass Road in Bay Point.
Upon arrival, Engine 87 reported smoke was coming out of the roof from all sides of the single-story home and later confirmed it was a working kitchen fire by 10:18 am.
Firefighters were preparing to make an offensive fire attack inside the home as soon as additional resources arrive on scene. CHP was requested to shut down the roadway.
Update
By 10:28 am, the fire was knocked down.
