Just after 3:00 pm Saturday, East Contra Costa firefighters responded to a report of an exterior fire threatening a home off Delta Road near Curlew Connex in Knightsen.
While firefighters were responding, they were alerted that there were down power lines across the roadway. The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Officer also responded for traffic control along with PG&E.
Battalion Chief 5 responded and upon arrival, located two spot fires which Engines 93 (Oakley) and 59 (Discovery Bay) could handle.
No damages or injuries were reported. The fire was caused by a bird on the wires.
