On Saturday, August 21, 2021 Fairfield Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Buchanan Street for a report of a gunshot being fired during a dispute. Upon entering the Fairfield home, officers learned that a resident had fired a gun into a wall.
Further investigation reveled that an elderly dependent living at the home was being neglected. A search warrant was executed and more than 120 firearms were seized. While Inspecting these weapons, several were found to be illegal in California.
The Fairfield Police Department is working with county resources to support the elderly resident.
