Vegetation Fire Shuts Down Bailey Road in Pittsburg

At 4:58 pm Tuesday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of a roadside fire that extended to a field on Bailey Road between the City of Pittsburg and City of Concord.

The fire was on the Pittsburg side running up a hill.

By 5:03 pm, Engine 87 arrived on scene reporting approximately 1 acre of vegetation on fire with rapid spread. A hard closure was requested to close down Bailey Road in both directions from Pittsburg and Concord side.

Who in hell started this fire? That area is petty much fenced off. There are animal grazing on the other side. It’s a busy thoroughfare! Surely, someone has seen who started this!
