Fairfield Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty

by ECT

Fairfield Police announced the arrest of 22-year-old Keith Hebert on Monday for animal cruelty.

The investigation began when officers received a call at 11:30am Tuesday from a local animal hospital regarding a young kitten that had been dropped off with significant trauma.  Officers began investigating and were able to connect Hebert to the crime based on witness statements and prior contacts.

While the officers were looking for Hebert, the vet hospital called and stated the kitten, estimated to be 4-5 weeks old, died from its injuries.  Officers were able to locate Hebert near a business in the 200 Block of East Tabor Avenue.

They arrested him without incident and booked him into Solano County Jail on one charge of animal cruelty.
