Engine 94 Knocks Down Small Residential Grass Fire on Bethel Island

Crews from Engine 94 responded to a residential fire at 4400 Gateway Road fire at 11:42 am. Engine 94 was able to knock down the small grass fire before it could cause any damage to a trailer at the Flamingo Flamingo Mobile Manor on Bethel Island.

Engine 93 who was on route to the scene reported seeing smoke from Main Street and Cypress in Oakley, but it turns out that was a separate fire out on the Delta in another County. All units were cancelled by 94 shortly after the put out the fire.

According to crews on scene, the resident claimed it was a cigarette that started the fire.
