ECCFPD Average Response Time Hits 8-Minutes in November

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District announced that its November response time hit an average of 8:00 minutes after responding to 563 service calls. For the year, the District has average 7:21 minutes.

According to the District, in the month of November, Engine 93 (Oakley) ran 39% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 276 times. Engine 52 (Brentwood) ran 38% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 269 times. Engine 59 (Discovery Bay) ran 18% of the calls for service rolling out of the station 126 times. CALFIRE assisted on 4% of the calls while Auto Aid assisted in 2%.

  • Knightsen – 10:19 minutes
  • Marsh Creek – 10:02 minutes
  • Discovery Bay – 9:58 minutes
  • Oakley – 7:16 minutes
  • Brentwood – 7:05 minutes

Looking at the response times by Areas:

  • Brentwood West had 150 calls in the month of November with an average response time of 7:06 minutes. In October there were a total of 136 calls with an average response time of 6:53 minutes. In the calendar year of 2014 the station ran 1923 calls for service with an average response time of 6:19.
  • Brentwood East had 119 calls in the month of November with an average response time of 7:03 minutes. In October there were a total of 112 calls with an average response time of 7:11 minutes. In the calendar year of 2014 the station ran 1285 calls for service with an average response time of 6:35.
  • Discovery Bay/ Byron had 74 calls in the month of November with an average response time of 9:58 minutes. In October there were a total of 72 calls with an average response time of 10:03 minutes. In the calendar year of 2014 the station ran 819 calls for service with an average response time of 9:08.
  • Oakley had 164 calls in the month of November with an average response time of 7:16 minutes. In October there were a total of 161 calls with an average response time of 7:02 minutes. In the calendar year of 2014 the station ran 1841 calls for service with an average response time of 6:56.
  • Knightsen had 15 calls in month of November with an average response time of 10:19 minutes. In October there were a total of 21 calls with an average response time of 11:12 minutes. In the calendar year of 2014 the station ran 166 calls for service with an average response time of 9:31.
