Brentwood Police Warn Community About Mail and Package Theft this Holiday Season

by ECT

The holiday season in our community can be a happy time for most. An opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends as we near the close of the calendar year.

Unfortunately, this time of year also presents an increase in crimes of opportunity, some of which are associated with mail and package delivery.

A silver 2015 BMW 528i (California license # 7KUN650) is suspected of being associated with two incidents that police are currently investigating. If you see this vehicle, avoid contact and call BPD dispatch at 778-2441 to report the location and any additional information pertaining to the occupants.

Please be vigilant in your observations of suspicious vehicles following delivery trucks (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc) and report any suspicious activity to dispatch. Your observations and efforts may prevent a criminal from ruining a family’s holiday.

If you are expecting a package delivery and can’t be home to accept it, try to coordinate with neighbors to be sure it is received by someone you trust.

The Brentwood Police Department is passionate about preserving the quality of life in our community. We are asking for your help to ensure a fun, safe and happy holiday season.
