Danville Police are investigating the deaths of two Danville residents in what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

Police Chief Steve Simpkins said at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016, officers were called to a home on Cross Bridge Place in Danville, after a neighbor reported fumes coming from the closed garage door of the home. On arrival, officers entered the garage where they found a man, identified as Paul Sween, 63, lying unconscious. Paramedics from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District transported Sween from the scene to San Ramon Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

In the house, officers discovered the body of a female, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The woman has been identified as Chalan Sween, 55. A firearm was recovered from the scene.

No further information is available. The case is under investigation by Danville Police detectives.
