Antioch Police Investigating Homicide on Oakley Road

At 3:50 pm Monday, Antioch Police responded to a report of a shooting on Oakley Road that left a man dead and closed down the roadway.

Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Oakley Road on the reports of shots being fired in the area and a subject down. Upon arrival officers located an 18 year old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Antioch Police Detectives were called to the scene and are actively working the investigation as a homicide. No further information will be released at this time as we are in the early stages of the investigation.

The victim in this case has been identified as Antioch resident, Kail Miramontes (18 yrs old).

  5. Feb 22 – Oakley Road Shooting, homicide under review.

ETC, cases #3 and #4 should stat as a homicide. It should not matter if it is filed or not by the DA.

Sorry, but it is a homicide anytime there is a purposeful act that causes the death of another.

Grew up in Antioch , my dad also my Uncle James Calvin was mayor at one time always loved my town , still love my memories but so glad to be gone now !?

WTF APD, Mayor, City Council??? Where are the briefings and facts known to date on both the Chevron, Somersville 187 and the Oakley Rd. 187. Oh well, just another day and our quality of life continues to decline.
