Contra Costa County Public Works Ranks 63 on Top 100 Fleets in America

Martinez, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works is ranked at 63 in the 100 Best Fleets Program out of 38,000 public fleets across the nation.

This is the second year in a row that our Fleet Services has made the list, including coming in ranked at 70 last year.  The program recognizes and rewards peak performing fleet operations in North America. Currently in its sixteenth year, 100 Best Fleets annually reviews and identifies performance improvement within the fleet industry.

Contra Costa County Fleet Services is responsible for the maintenance and repair of county vehicles and equipment including green alternative-fueled vehicles.  Our Fleet Services has an inventory of over 1,600 light and heavy equipment, vehicles and buses.  Fleet Services is a facility equipped with solar power and is a Green Business Program participant.

Congratulations, now it’s time to use the the fleet in east county. Our roads rank the worst. Pot holes everywhere, sides of roadways falling apart, and incomplete painted bike and fog lines. Where is our Supervisor? Another round table lip service meeting?

Weren’t they number 3 a few years ago? Battersby must have left and now under new management.
