The Contra Costa County Office of Education is excited and proud to announce its partnership with Sandy Hook Promise.
CCCOE’s 2018-19 school safety initiative will feature the Sandy Hook Promise ‘Know the Signs’ programs as we introduce these no-cost programs to middle and high schools throughout Contra Costa County. Like Sandy Hook Promise, CCCOE is committed to preventing gun violence on school campuses, by encouraging and supporting solutions that create safer, healthier homes, schools and communities!
Training high schools and middle schools on the “Know the Signs” programs is at the heart of the Sandy Hook Promise initiative, and we are actively recruiting the best, brightest and most vibrant people from within our communities to conduct the trainings!
CCCOE will be recruiting 20-30 trainers who will go out into the high schools and middle schools to implement the “Say Something” and “Start with Hello” programs. These are PAID contract positions that will deliver, on average, 1-5 school presentations per month.

Why Sandy Hook Promise. Those children were way too young to know the signs. Seems like Parkland Promise would have been a better choice for the age group targeted. (No pun)
