At 8:47 am Saturday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District received a report from the Sheriffs Office of a vegetation fire in the area of Solano and Suisun in Bay Point.
Upon arrival, it was reported that 100 feet of fire line was on fire and headed towards the marsh area. A short-time later, the fire got into heavy brush which grew the fire to approximently 6-acres.
Structure protection was requested as winds changed, however, it was later cancelled due to the wind changing back to blowing away from homes.
As of 2:00 pm, the fire was estimated at 20-acres.
