Concord Police Say 1 Shot in Shooting at Sun Valley Mall

At 5:53 p.m. the Concord Police Department was sent to the Sun Valley Mall, between Red Robin and Sears for a reported shooting.

Officers located one person who had been shot and he was transported to a local hospital. Shell casings were located at the scene. The suspect fled the mall property in a vehicle. The case will be investigated by the Concord Police Department, Major Crimes Unit. No other information is being released at this time.

Sun Valley Mall has been a ghetto gathering place for a long time. It used to be a great place at one time. Those days are gone.
