At 5:53 p.m. the Concord Police Department was sent to the Sun Valley Mall, between Red Robin and Sears for a reported shooting.
Officers located one person who had been shot and he was transported to a local hospital. Shell casings were located at the scene. The suspect fled the mall property in a vehicle. The case will be investigated by the Concord Police Department, Major Crimes Unit. No other information is being released at this time.

But of course! Where else! Sun Valley Mall used to be a nice place, but anymore! Remember the shootout at JC Penney’s?
Sun Valley Mall has been a ghetto gathering place for a long time. It used to be a great place at one time. Those days are gone.
Sun Valley Mall should have been Bulldozed years ago.
