Concord Police have arrested and identified a man who robbed the Bank of America in downtown Concord Monday.
Police say at about 2:50 PM, Officers were dispatched to a reported bank robbery at the Bank of America in Downtown Concord. When officers arrived on scene, they learned the suspect entered the bank, demanded money from a teller, and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say nobody was hurt and the employees were able to provide a detailed description of Robert Waterman, a Concord resident.
A few minutes later, an officer located Waterman in the area of Grant Street and Oak Street. The money Mr. Waterman stole was recovered and returned to the bank.
Waterman was transported to our jail on the charge of robbery.
Meanwhile, according to Claycord.com, they site that according to Megan’s Law Sex Offender website, Waterman was convicted in 1985 of assault with intent to commit a specific sex offense. He was released in 1989.

At his age and criminal record, he’ll spend life in prison. It’s where he belongs.
He should have been eliminated in 1985.
You people are horrible. This is my grandfather. His crimes had nothing to do with children so don’t treat him like a monster. Neither one of you know anything about him and what he has been through.
