CHP Seeks Public’s Assistance in Caldecott Tunnel Shooting

The California Highway Patrol is seeking assistance from the public after a shooting that occurred Sunday evening on SR-24 within the number 4 Bore of the Caldecott Tunnel in Oakland.

The incident happened around 7:50 pm when a vehicle was traveling westbound on SR-24 when the shooting took place. The driver was struck in the head and is being transported to a local hospital while the passenger was not struck.

CHP says this appears to be an isolated incident. Preliminary reports indicate the suspect vehicle may be white in color. CHP is still securing the scene and evidence is being collected.

Don’t they have security cameras in that 4th bore tunnel? Now, we have something else to worry about thanks to the idiots the state licenses to drive! Isn’t that just peachy!
