The California Highway Patrol reported that a motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a crash near Hercules.
The crash occurred at 1:49 am Saturday on eastbound Highway 4 at John Muir Parkway near Christie Road. The rider was down an embankment and in a ditch after veering off the roadway.
CHP has provided no additional information.

No pothole my a××. There was a woman who witnessed this motorcycle accident who was waiting to be towed due to the fact that she POPPED HER TIRE ON THE SAME POTHOLE.
@Tee, sounds like you were there so I am sure you have a picture of said pothole.
The CHP log is not a moment by moment transcript of the event. Perhaps TEE’s information did not make it into the log. What’s more, it was rather dark at this time. Perhaps we can give C19-404C the benefit of the doubt that they did not find a significant pothole in 4 mins of traffic break.
