CCHS Brings Vaccines to Neighborhoods During National Night Out

by ECT

Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) will offer free, safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines at several National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

As we see COVID-19 rates steadily rising in the county, we urge all eligible people to get vaccinated immediately. Masks are now required in public indoor settings, and we encourage people to take additional precautions when gathering for events such as National Night Out.

Along with getting vaccinated, CCHS strongly recommends masking in crowded outdoor settings and maintaining social distance.

CCHS wants to provide residents with an easy and convenient opportunity to get vaccinated and collaborating with community partners during National Night Out does just that by offering evening hours in several locations.

Vaccine is available for everyone ages 12 and older. Appointments are not required, but patients can register in advance. Patients younger than 18 do require consent from a parent or guardian to get vaccinated.

CCHS mobile vaccination teams will be at the below National Night Out locations:

  • Hilltop Green Park, Park Central St. & Parkway Dr., Richmond 6-8:30 p.m.
  • Crescent Park, 5000 Hartnett Ave., Richmond 5-7 p.m.
  • North Richmond Baptist Church, 1427 Fred Jackson Way, Richmond 5-7 p.m.
  • Small World Park, 2551 Harbor St., Pittsburg 4-8 p.m.
  • Refugio Valley Park, 1515 Refugio Valley Rd., Hercules 6-8 p.m.

All CCHS sites accept walk-ins without a previous appointment, but people can still schedule an appointment online or by calling 833-829-2626.
