Bus Driver Shortage Impacting Tri Delta Transit Schedules

by ECT

Tri Delta Transit over the weekend announced that due to a driver shortage, several routes are now being impacted and it’s anticipated to last through Spring of 2022.

With the shortage, Tri Delta transit has changed their schedule as of December 19 which impacts City of Antioch, City of Brentwood, City of Oakley, City of Pittburg and other parts of the county. They also announced positions are open.

“Through the majority of the pandemic, Tri Delta Transit has had a very low case rate, but some individuals do not feel comfortable working so resignations are at an all-time high,” says Chief Operating Officer Steve Ponte. “This has resulted in transportation not being on time or not coming at all. This is not how we do business. We must now realize the hard truth that the schedule must change. We thank our riders for their patience during this difficult time.”

Tri Delta Transit will be lengthening the time between runs to an hour in between arrivals.

This will allow for all runs to still continue so that no service routes are cut. CEO Jeanne Krieg says “We’ll be focusing on maintaining the school runs, as making sure students get to school is a top priority.”

Remember when there where “no jobs”.

Society is getting more lazy and entitled by the generation.

Stop giving lazy people free money. There are plenty of people to fill the jobs. No incentives to work by giving our taxes to the leaches.
