A brazen smash-and-grab robbery involving a hammer occurred Saturday evening at Kohls where an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in jewelry was stolen from the department store.
According to Brentwood Police Chief Mark Evenson, the incident occurred at roughly 8:59 pm Saturday where two subjects entered Kohls and used a hammer to break the glass of the jewelry case and took up to $50,000 in jewelry.
The two were described as white males adults who fled on foot towards the Cross Point Apartments and are still outstanding.
No further information was provided.

What does it matter if it’s Brentwood or Antioch? Next we’re going to hear it’s cause of section 8??? Crime happens everywhere and for the record I worked at Kohls it’s in BRENTWOOD!

Who cares which city the store is in, the only fact we need to stress here is that this type of unacceptable behavior is happening in our backyards which is all of East County (Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood, B.I., Knightsen, Byron). Now that this has happened and they got away with it there is no doubt in my mind that its going to start happening more frequently. What is this world coming to? Where have the morals gone? Sad.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they get caught this morning trying to get cash for the jewelery at the “cash for gold” places in antioch. With the Kohl’s price tags still on the merchandise.
