Brentwood residents can eat to their heart’s content this Sunday at the 13th Annual BBQ King Cook-Off and Fundraiser at the Harvest Park Bowling Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. before the Super Bowl.  Contestants will cook ribs, chicken, tri-tip BBQ and chili – to be judged by PAL members, Assemblymember Jim Frazier and Brentwood Mayor Bob Taylor.

“I will be entering my famous chili recipe, which includes secret ingredients I won’t even reveal to my own mother,” Frazier said.  Frazier will also be a judge at the fundraising event in which all proceeds will go to PAL to help local youth.

“The Police Activities League is 100% committed to the future of families and kids who reside in Brentwood,” said Officer Harry Khangura, board member of the Brentwood Police Officers’ Association.  “Sunday will be a day of great fun, great food and a great opportunity to do something good for our youth.”

This year, there will also be live music by the Citations and roast pig from Brentwood Fine Meats.

Community members interested in loading up before the BIG GAME, can purchase advance tickets ($20 adults, $10 kids, family pack $50) by calling Bill at Brentwood Fine Meats at 925-513-0595.  Tickets will also be available at the door ($30 adults, $15 kids, family pack $64).

Harvest Park Bowling Center is located at 5000 Balfour Road in Brentwood.  Invitation is displayed below.
