Brentwood PAL Announces Tamale Festival Tickets Now on Sale

Get ready Brentwood as the Tamale Festival is back for its 5th Annual Event hosted by the Brentwood Police Activities League. The event is set for November 20 at the Veterans Building on 1st Street to help raise funds for the Brentwood Police Activities League. All you can eat in person for $35 or Drive Thru Family Pack dinner for $50.

Nov 20: Brentwood Police Announce Car Show

Join the Brentwood Police Department as they host a downtown car show on November 20 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Toy and food donation required for donation to help raise funds for the Brentwood Community Chest. There is no admission cost. Even if you do not have a vehicle to show, you may bring a toy or canned food to donate.

Limited to 100 vehicles, and all makes and models are welcome! Parking will be downtown on 1st Street and Oak Street. Line up starts at 1PM on Second Street between Oak Street and Chestnut Street. Line up and registration begins at 1PM.

Why tamales, for God’s sake! Is there no other food one can try? We have people here from all over the world who have some fantastic foods as part of their culture they brought with them. How about some GERMAN food… SWEDISH … RUSSIAN …. FRENCH ….. SPANISH …. BRAZILIAN …. the MIDDLE EASTERN …. But, no, we’re stuck with tamales! Dios mio!

I agree! Mexican food is so varied depending on which state it comes from. Most of the stuff I see here is from the northern states and it’s BORING! I’ve had fantastic food in the financial district of Tijuana (of all places) with waiters wearing white formal jackets and ties. Very high end food with not a taco or a tamale or an enchilada insight.
