by ECT

At 12:25 pm Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a fall from a horse at the request of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in Brentwood.

The incident occurred in the 100 block of Walnut Blvd in Brentwood near the Los Vaqueros Reservoir where AMR arrived on scene and located an adult female off a trail on the ground after being thrown from a horse.

A medical helicopter was requested as the adult female with repetitive questioning did not remember the event. The medical helicopter was requested after her injuries met trauma protocol where she was flown to John Muir Trauma Center.
