Bay Point Residents Arrested by Concord Police After Sunvalley Mall Grab-And-Run Theft

by ECT

The Concord Police Department announced the arrest of two Bay Point residents in connection with a “grab-n-run” theft at JC Pennys at the Sunvalley Mall on Saturday.

Police arrested a 31-year-old female and a 28-year-old man in the incident.

According to police, an officer attempted to stop the male and female, however, they jumped into their car and led officers on a pursuit.  Police set up a set of spike strips near the Willow Pass exit which disabled 3 out of 4 tires on the suspect vehicle which brought the pursuit to an end in the City of Pittsburg.

The driver decided to pull over on her own accord and both were arrested without further incident.

Police charged the 31 year old female driver from Bay Point with multiple theft, driving related offenses and violating the terms of her probation. Her passenger, a 28 year old male also from Bay Point, was also charged with theft and conspiracy.

Always amazed when they’re able to get those spike strips down, it’s quite a song and dance. Wonder why there aren’t permanently embedded remotely-controlled strips under cameras along every major route that could be activated precisely when needed.

Interesting idea until an automated one goes off on it’s own and spikes “innocent” vehicles.

3 of her vehicle’s 4 tires were disabled and she “pulled over on her own accord?” I don’t think so! I think the spikes stopped her. There was nowhere she could escape. The cops got her thieving ass!

Who cares what race they are? At least this time they were caught. Unfortunately in ultra liberal California they will only receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it in no time. Glad that nobody was hurt.

A couple of years ago, four black women were shoplifting at JC Penney’s at Sun Valley Mall and started shooting at the security people who were after them. No one got shot, but they were cornered and arrested. I think they are still in prison.
