At 9:49 am Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in Bay Point at Solano Ave and Suisun Ave.
It was reported by a County Sheriff Deputy and at least one caller that black smoke was coming from the area. This was the second fire in this area in the past 24-hours as a fire was reported at 1:08 am.
By 9:55 am, smoke was observed from the City of Antioch by firefighters responding.
By 9:57 am, Engine 86 reported this was a small vegetation fire also involving the railroad tracks which was from a previous burn. They said they could handle. They canceled the balance of the response.
By 10:01, Engine 86 reported the knocked down.
