Frazier Profile

Solano, CA – Assemblymember Jim Frazier invites you to join him on Saturday, January 19th for a heartwarming day of volunteer opportunities to help the Solano SPCA.

Saturday, January 19th, 2013, is the National Day of Service, which is a time to honor President Obama’s Inauguration and commemorate Martin Luther King’s vision of community service. Assemblyman Frazier will be volunteering from Noon until 4 pm at the Solano SPCA, helping them with important projects to keep their facilities nice and pleasant for both humans and future family pets.

“I know from first-hand experience that our non-profit volunteers are the backbone of our communities,” said Assemblyman Frazier. “I appreciate and honor the volunteers who work throughout the year in support of so many community efforts.”

The Solano SPCA does much for our animal friends and is grateful for any help volunteers can offer on this special day of service doing grounds clean-up (picking up trash, toys, etc.), office work such as filing, sorting, etc., laundry, making sample bags for the store, sorting, organizing and labeling bins in storage, painting, and pulling weeds.

The primary contact for this volunteer effort is Noralee Bauthues, who may be reached at 707-447-2938. For more information on this event, and other volunteer opportunities in your local community, you may visit the National Day of Service website at http://action.2013pic.org/service.
