Assemblyman Frazier Appointed to Council of State Governments West Transportation and Economic Development Committee

by ECT

Sacramento, CA – Assemblyman Jim Frazier (D – Oakley) has been appointed by Speaker Toni Atkins (D – San Diego) to serve on the Council of State Governments West (CSG West) Transportation and Economic Development Committee.

“I feel honored to be appointed by Speaker Atkins to be a California representative for this important committee,” said Assemblyman Frazier. “As a former mayor of Oakley, I have always worked hard to foster local economic development and address our region’s most critical transportation needs. I believe this will be an excellent opportunity to create innovative solutions through thoughtful discussion among experts, colleagues and professionals in the Western region.”

Members of this committee have the unique opportunity to engage with colleagues, partake in policy discussions, and exchange information about transportation and its direct link to economic development in that region. The work of CSG West policy committees reflects the substantive issues facing Western legislatures. Legislators are offered an opportunity to learn from the experience and expertise of other states, as well as hear from nationally recognized experts in particular subject matters.

CSG West is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization created to serve western legislatures through regional cooperation and advocacy. The objectives of CSG West are to encourage, promote, and pursue a regional vision and regional issues that cross state and international borders and build on common western interests.
