Antioch Police Seek Assistance in Cold Case Homicide

The Antioch Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a silver Ford Windstar minivan in connection to a August 20, 2020 homicide. A photograph was released Saturday along with new information in the case.

On August 29, 2020, at around 10:00 AM, Antioch Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 1800 block of Tioga Pass Wy. Officers arrived on scene to find 20-year-old Daunzhay Young suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS arrived at the scene and pronounced Young deceased.

Antioch Police Department Violent Crime Unit, Special Operations Unit, and Crime Scene Unit responded to continue the investigation. The neighborhood was canvassed for surveillance video and neighbors were interviewed. During the investigation, surveillance video showing a vehicle of interest was obtained. The vehicle appeared to be a silver Ford Windstar minivan. The minivan had distinct damage to the rear bumper and driver’s side brake light. Additionally, the minivan had a stick figure family sticker on the rear window.

Antioch Police Department is seeking information regarding the murder of Daunzhay Young as well as information about the vehicle of interest.
