On Saturday, just after 10:00 am, the Antioch Police Department and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of gunshots at Tioga Pass Way in the City of Antioch.
When police and firefighters arrived, they located a male victim with gunshot wounds. Police administered CPR until medical help arrived. A short time later, fire and AMR pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
According to sources, the victim was a male and this was a drive-by shooting.
According to another source, this was the third gunshot victim in the past 24-hours within the City of Antioch. Although, Antioch Police have yet to confirm.

On 8/29/20, at approximately 10:07 AM, Antioch police officers were called to the 1800 block of Tioga Pass Way on the report of several gunshots heard in the area.
Numerous officers responded to the scene and located one male victim (20 y/o) down on the sidewalk. The victim was found to be suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began providing first-aid and CPR until emergency paramedics arrived at the scene to take over. The victim succumbed to his injuries and passed at the scene.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the area and has not been located. The victim in this case appears to have been targeted by the suspect(s).
Antioch Police Department’s Crime Scene Investigators and Detectives with the Violent Crimes and Special Operations Units responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Currently, detectives are working to identify any suspects or persons-of-interest. The investigation is still active, and evidence is being collected and evaluated. This information is made available by the Investigations Bureau.

I was listening to live fire/EMS dispatch and heard it there.
He can’t get everything, the owner of the forum needs to get more staff or stay on top of the news. There’s always a couple of stories they forgot or don’t have a chance to report on.

It was Antioch’s 3rd shooting. Heard on Friday Engine 52 responded but was canceled for two patients on Vista Grande with gunshots to leg. The patients were privately transported to a private non emergency hospital where code 3 ambulances were requested.
I find it somewhat shocking that someone could be shot dead in the middle of a residential neighborhood at 10:00 on a Saturday morning and it doesn’t even warrant a mention on the news. And the shooter has thus far gotten away with it. WTF. Sometimes this place is like the Twilight Zone.
Antioch has become a ses pool of filth and hood trash that have zero respect for anyone or anybody’s lives including there own. Lived there for 35 years, can’t say I miss it all. It’s the same name, but completely different place now sadly
