AAA is reporting Monday that as we approach Halloween, the national average price of a gallon of gasoline is now $4.38 per gallon—up six cents from the past week. In the past 27-days, the cost of gas is up 20 cents.
In California, gas is at an average of $4.54 per gallon.
Prices in the Bay Area included:
- Antioch – $4.29 (Arco)
- Brentwood – $4.19 (Arco)
- Concord – $4.19 (Bonfare)
- Discovery Bay – $4.41 (Safeway)
- Oakland – $4.19 (Valero)
- Oakley – $4.35 (Arco)
- San Francisco – $4.35 – $5.25
- San Jose – $4.05 (Shell)
- Walnut Creek – $4.49 (Mobile)
Overall, gas is up $1.22 more than a year ago and 77 cents more than in 2019.
AmeriCo Gas in Gorda California has the highest gas price in the state. According to GasBuddy, the prices are $7.59 a gallon for regular, $7.99 for midgrade, and $8.49 for premium.
